Christmas Hampers

December 31, 2021

Our 2021 Christmas campaign has now wrapped up. Like 2020, this was another challenging year where we were not able to run our usual Christmas hamper program since it requires dozens of volunteers all congregating in a relatively small space over a short timeframe. Instead, we were able to provide over $30,000 in grocery store gift cards to 262 families (585 adults and 512 children).

We are incredibly grateful to the dedicated volunteers who assisted us in coordinating our Christmas program, registering clients and handling the distribution of these cards. We are also grateful to the churches, schools, businesses, community groups and individuals who have contributed to FAMSAC in the past few weeks, either by making a financial donation to sponsor families or by collecting food donations and baby items which we will use to continue providing emergency food assistance in the coming months. Special thanks to:

Feed a Family this Holiday Season!

Our 2021 Christmas Campaign is now underway! Sadly, due to ongoing pandemic restrictions, we are not able to prepare our usual Christmas hampers, but we will once again be providing grocery store gift cards to families in need within our community.

If your family needs a little help this holiday season, please call 613-820-5428 before December 3 and leave a message on our answering machine to register for our Christmas campaign. One of our volunteers will be in touch with you to confirm the arrangements.

Obviously, this program is a very large and expensive undertaking. That’s why we’re also inviting families and businesses within our community to sponsor a family by making a $100 donation. You can make a contribution to our Christmas Campaign by sending a cheque to our mailing address or online via Canada Helps.
